Immunogen: The 17 kDa major membrane protein of Francisella tularensis subsp. Holarctica (expressed in E. coli), which is abundant in most (all) strains of Francisella’s. Host: Rabbit Clonality: Polyclonal Purity: Serum Format: Lyophilized Quantity: 50 µl Reconstitution: For reconstitution add 50 µl of sterile water Storage: Lyophilized antibody can be stored at -20°C for up to 3 years. Re-constituted antibody can be stored at 4°C for several days to weeks. Once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Background: Francisella tularensis is a pathogenic species of Gram-negative, aerobe, rod-shaped coccobacillus. It is the causative agent of tularemia, the pneumonic form of which is often lethal without treatment. It spreads easily by aerosol and has high virulence making this a Tier 1 Select Agent by the U.S. government.
