Isocitrate lyase (EC=4.1.3.1), localized in glyoxysome is an enzyme involved in mobilization of storage lipis during plant seedling growth. Catalalyzed reaction is a conversion of isocitrate to succinate and glyoxylate. Alternative names of this enzyme: isocitrase, isocitritase, isocitratase, glyoxylate-lyase, isocitrate glyoxylatelyase.

SDS-PAGE gel electrophoresis of the purified ICL (1) and immunoselected protein (2) prepared according to Plant and Cell Physiol. 1988, 29: 381-384. Gel was stained with Coomasie brilliant blue R. Fluorogram of the immunoselected protein from the 2-day -old endosperm of castor bean labeled in vivo with 35S-methionine (3).
