DnaK2 belongs to the family of heat shock proteins 70 and functions as a chaperone involved in stress response. Dnak2 is heat induced but also present at high level under normal growth conditions.

application example

10 µg of total protein from total cell extract of Synechocystis PCC 6803 wilde type (WT) and mutant strain that lacks Hsp16.6 were separated on  8 % gel and blotted on nitrocellulose membrane. Filters were blocked (1h), incubated with 1:1000 anti-DnaK2 antibodies (2h) followed by incubation with 1: 2500 secondary anti-rabbit (1h) coupled to HRP and visualization with standard ECL plus (GE Healthcare), exposure time 10 seconds.
