background   Cyclophilin (CYP38) represents the first complex immunophilin protein identified from higher plants. The protein was initially designated as TLP40 (thylakoid lumen protein). The Arabidopsis genome encodes two homologous complex immunophilins, AtCYP38 and AtCYP37. This protein functions in the assembly of photosystem II. Alternative name: F4P13.3; F4P13_3.
