product information

background

PsaE is a nucleus encoded subunit of the Photosystem I reaction center. It is located on the stroma side and interacts with PsaF. PsaE may be involved in Fd reduction.

immunogen

KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide conserved in di and monocots and some green algae PsaE protein (not Chlamydomonas), including Arabidopsis thaliana PSI-E A Q9S831 and PSI-E B Q9S714

antibody format

rabbit;

polyclonal;

serum;

lyophilized

quantity

200 µl

- for reconstitution add 200 µl of sterile water

storage

store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please, remember to spin tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from lyophilized material adhering to the cap or sides of the tubes.

tested applications

Western blot (WB)

application example

5 µg of BBY particles (Pisum sativum) (lane 1), Arabidopsis thaliana photosystem I preparation (lane 2), Arabidopsis thaliana thylakoid preparation (lane 3), Arabidopsis thaliana chloroplast preparation (4) was separated on 4-12% NuPage (Invitrogen) and blotted on nitrocellulose. Filters where blocked (1h), incubated with 1: 1000 anti-PsaE (1h) followed by incubation with 1: 20 000 secondary anti-rabbit (1h) coupled to HRP and visualization with standard ECL (GE Healthcare). Isolation of total leaf protein was done with PEB (see product AS08 300).
