Monoclonal antibodies - from small to large-scale production.

We offer a complete monoclonal antibody production service, consisting of the following stages:

  • Stage I
Antigen preparation (AgriSera will give advice and synthesise peptides if required). Immunisation of at least four Balb/c mice. Initial screening of serum and its evaluation by ELISA. Serum samples can be send to the customer for testing, if requested.

  • Stage II
Fusion of spleen cells from two animals with the best response against the antigen to SP2/0 cells. Screening of positive clones using ELISA, followed by their cultivation and freezing.

  • Stage III
Subcloning of selected positive, antibody secreting lines by limiting dilution (few subclones/line). Expansion of chosen clones, freezing and delivery to the customer.

Important note - each of the listed services from Stage I to Stage III can be offered separately.

Time schedule - approximately 4-8 months depending upon the immunogenic response to the antigen.

Scale-up and monoclonal antibody purification - from cell lines constructed at AgriSera or supplied by the customer. Monoclonal antibodies secreted to the cell culture medium can be subjected to further purification using Protein G or other system if required.
Total yields - small scale (up to 200 mg) and large scale (from 10 g upwards)

Special service on request: Purification of problematic monoclonal antibodies - for example IgG3 - including optimisation of storage conditions. Optimisation of purification conditions for unstable and aggregating monoclonal antibodies. Please, inquire.

Confidentiality: All work done at AgriSera remains strictly confidential. If required project agreement can be signed.

For price estimation of your project please - inquire.
