15 % off on Alzheimer's disease-related antibodies

15 % off Agrisera Alzhaimer's antibodies

Oligomer specific amyloid-beta antibodies
Discover Agrisera's unique monoclonal antibodies targeting amyloid-beta oligomers. The approach is based on a combination of high avidity and cryptic epitopes and result in a high selectivity for Abeta oligomers where oligomers are selectively detected also in the presence of stoichiometric excess of abeta monomers corresponding to more than 4 orders of magnitude.

The approach is based on a sandwich ELISA set up where the oligomer-specific antibodies are immobilized in the bottom, followed by exposure to the sample of interest. The oligomer specific antibodies will bind the oligomers with a very high binding strength, and detection of bound abeta oligomers is subsequently performed by a normal pan anti-abeta antibody. For the second step, we recommend strong binding polyclonal anti-abeta antibody or biotin labelled variants of the oligomer-specific monoclonals.

Suggested antibody pairs with excellent performance are indicated below:

Suggested sandwich ELISA pair for the detection abeta-oligomers:

ELISA setup 1
Coating OMAB, mouse monoclonal antibody (AS10 932)
Detection OMAB, Biotinylated (AS10 932B), or amyloid-beta peptide rabbit antibody (AS08 328)

ELISA setup 2
Coating: Anti-mAB-M | Mouse anti-human Abeta protein (3-10) region, oligomer-specific (clone 2D10,F6) mouse monoclonal antibodies (AS13 2716) or Anti-mAB-O | Mouse anti-human Abeta protein (3-10) region, oligomer-specific (clone 3E5,F8) mouse monoclonal antibodies (AS13 2715)

Detection: OMAB, Biotinylated (AS10 932B), or amyloid-beta peptide rabbit antibody AS08 328)

The method used to develop these antibodies is described in detail in:  Brännström et al. 2014, PLoS one: A Generic Method for Design of Oligomer-Specic Antibodies.

Other antibodies (not oligomer specific) include:

Anti-Abeta (1-42) | Amyloid-beta peptide 1-42, rabbit antibodies (AS08 328)Anti-Abeta (1-42) | Amyloid-beta peptide 1-42, rabbit antibodies (AS08 357)Anti-Abeta (1-42) | Amyloid-beta peptide 1-42, chicken antibodies (AS08 329)

Third anniversary of the plant community resource - The Global Plant Events Calendar

Third Anniversary of The Global Plant Events Calendar

The Global Plant Events Calendar was initiated on January 2nd, 2019 as a mutual effort of Plantae and Agrisera, to provide the plant community with a comprehensive list of worldwide events. Over the last three years, hundreds of various events have been listed in the calendar, making it easy for plant researchers to receive a quick overview of available events. As the pandemic developed in 2020, many events were cancelled, postponed, or moved online. All these changes were regularly updated in the calendar, which became a source for information on in-person, as well as online meetings, like webinars on different topics relevant to plant biology.

Today, The Global Plant Events Calendar is the most comprehensive list of worldwide events for the plant community.

If you are not familiar with the calendar, this short video will show you how to use it. You are welcome to submit information about a meeting you are organizing!

Stay informed! Follow the calendar on Twitter @PlantSciEvents

Effective detection of mNeonGreen fusion proteins expressed in higher plants and algae

Agrisera anti-mNeonGreen polyclonal antibodies are effectively detecting mNeonGreen fusion proteins from Arabidopsis thaliana, Nicotiana benthamiana and Chlamydomonas reinhardii in dilutions up to 1: 3000, good signal-to-noise ratio and low background.

mNeonGreen (Fluorescent Protein)
is a new bright monomertic yellow-green fluorescent, with low conservation level to GFP.  It has an excitation maximum at 506 nm and an emission maximum at 517 nm and is therefore compatible with the most GFP filter sets. mNeonGreen is 3x brighter compare to GFP, more stable and does not bleach so fast as GFP, which makes it very suitable for confocal and super resolution microscopy, for fusion proteins with low expression levels. It can be used in bicistronic vectors, which will allow simultaneous expression of two proteins separately, from the same RNA transcript. mNeonGreen has MW of 26.6 kDa.

As a X-mas gift, Agrisera supports "Vi Agroiforestry" - Where the trees grow, people grow!

Vi Agroforestry (Vi-skogen) is a Swedish development organisation focusing their efforts on the most exposed and vulnerable population of East Africa. Through agroforestry and strengthening of farmers’ organisations they empower small-holder farmer families to reduce poverty and hunger. At the same time they combat deforestation, climate change and contribute to increased biodiversity. So far, Vi Agroiforestry has contributed to planting over 141 million trees and supported more than 2.4 million people getting out of poverty. And together we can help more! Vi Agroforestry work in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania - four countries that are severely affected by deforestation and climate change and that for many years have endured its devastating effects on both humans and the nature.

First Plant Actin Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody

Agrisera's Plant Actin Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody (product number AS21 4615) is the first recombinant monoclonal antibody made to plant actin. The antibody is developed in vitro using animal-free technologies, to provide end users with low batch-to-batch variation and secure a long-term supply of antibodies with the same characteristics.

Actin is a highly conserved protein, and an essential component of the cell cytoskeleton. It plays an important role in cytoplasmic streaming, cell shape determination, cell division, organelle movement and extension growth. Actin is preferentially expressed in young and expanding tissues, floral organ primordia, developing seeds and emerging inflorescence.

Agrisera's new actin antibody can be used as a loading control for plant tissues, and works with chemiluminescent, chromogenic and fluorescent detection.

New epitope tag antibody mNeonGreen, detects mNG tag expressed in plant and algal vectors

mNeonGreen (Fluorescent Protein) is a new bright monomertic yellow-green fluorescent, with low conservation level to GFP. It has an excitation maximum at 506 nm, an emission maximum at 517 nm, and is therefore compatible with most GFP filter sets.

mNeonGreen is 3x brighter, more stable, and does not bleach as fast as GFP. This makes it very suitable for confocal and super resolution microscopy, for fusion proteins with low expression levels. It can be used in bicistronic vectors, which will allow simultaneous expression of two proteins separately, from the same RNA transcript. mNeonGreen has a MW of 26.6 kDa.

The peptide used to elicit the Agrisera mNeonGreen antibody is conserved in the following expression vectors:

  • dCas9-P2A-DHFR(TSc3)-T2A-mNeonGreen [Cloning vector pBM020]
  • Cas9-P2A-DHFR(TSc3)-T2A-mNeonGreen [Cloning vector pBM006]
  • mNeonGreen4-tDeg [Cloning vector pminiCMV-mNeonGreen4-tDeg]
  • ER-localized mNEONGREEN [Binary vector pKT-NM-erNEON]
  • mNeonGreen-3xFLAG [Cloning vector pLM160-mNeonGreen]
  • mNeonGreen-ty1 [Cloning vector pSAG1-mNeonGreen_TUB1-dTomato]
  • mNeonGreen, partial [Binary vector pRATIO2131]

Agrisera's mNeonGreen antibody, product number AS21 4525, recognizes mNeonGreen tags expressed in both plant and algal samples.

Agrisera on SwedenBIO Summit, 8th of December

In preparation for SwedenBIO Summit 2021, Agrisera was welcomed as the 299th company, where Agrisera's CEO Erika Gelfgren will be holding the session "Close to the market experience".

Erika was interviewed and asked the important question "What is your strategy to reach worldwide markets?". Below is her reply:

- The antibody market in the world is huge, but we chose early on to invest in a niche part of the market and specialized in antibodies to plant and algal proteins, products that not many others offer. This means that potential distributors often contact us and ask to include our products in their collections.

The full interview with Agrisera's CEO, in Swedish, can be found here

Antibodies to Plant Cell Wall components

The Plant Cell Wall is one of the most complex structural networks in nature, and still the least understood. Beside cellulose, which is the most abundant macromolecule on Earth, typical components of the cell wall are: non-celllulosic, pectic polysaccharides, proteins, phenolic compounds and water.

Agrisera offers poly- and monoclonal Antibodies to Plant Cell Wall components, which detect a wide range of glycoproteins and polysaccharides located in plant cell walls. These antibodies have been produced and characterized in the laboratories of prof. Knox from University of Leeds and prof. Hahn from University of Georgia. Recently, these antibodies are also offered in a smaller pack size of 1 ml/tube and can be combined in a set of 3 or 5 antibodies with a discounted price.
