10 ug of mitochondrial protein from Nicotiana tabacum cell suspension (1A) BY-2 control cells, (2A) BY-2 2h stressed cells with 450 mM Mannitol, (3A) BY-2 2h stressed cells with 190 mM Mannitol, (M) PageRulerTM Plus Prestained Protein Ladder and 20 ug of mitochondrial protein from (1B) BY-2 control cells, (2B) BY-2 2h stressed cells with 450 mM Mannitol, (3B) BY-2 2h stressed cells with 190 mM Mannitol. Primary antibody was used in 1: 20 000 dilution. Secondary SDH ½ (Succinate dehydrogenase) antibody was used in 1:2000 dilution. Detection was performed using chemiluminescence by Bio- Rad ChemiDoc Imager, following manufacture’s recommendations.
- Background
-
Background: SDH (Succinate dehydrogenase) is an enzyme complex found in the mitochondria. It plays a crucial role in both the citric acid cycle and the electron transport chain. SDH is composed of multiple subunits, typically referred to as SDH1, SDH2, SDH3, and SDH4. SDH1 is the flavoprotein subunit that is involved in complex II of the mitochondrial electron transport chain and is responsible for transferring electrons from succinate to ubiquinone (coenzyme Q). - Protocols
