Background: Avi-tag monoclonal antibody is designed to specifically recognize and bind to the Avi-tag peptide. The Avi-tag is a short peptide sequence (GLNDIFEAQKIEWHE) that is biotinylated by the enzyme BirA (biotin ligase). This tag is commonly used in recombinant protein expression to facilitate the detection, purification, and characterization of tagged proteins.
