Background:

E2 tag is a small peptide sequence derived from the E2 protein of the bovine papillomavirus. It is used as an epitope tag in recombinant protein expression systems to facilitate the detection and purification of tagged proteins, including antibodies. Monoclonal antibodies against the E2 tag provide high specificity and affinity for the E2-tagged proteins.
