Product Information

Immunogen The 17 kDa major membrane protein of Francisella tularensis subsp. Holarctica (expressed in E. coli), which is abundant in most (all) strains of Francisella’s.
Host Rabbit
Clonality Polyclonal
Purity Serum
Format Lyophilized
Quantity 50 ĩl
Reconstitution For reconstitution add 50 ĩl of sterile water
Storage Lyophilized antibody can be stored at -20°C for up to 3 years. Re-constituted antibody can be stored at 4°C for several days to weeks. Once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
Tested applications Western blot (WB)
Recommended dilution

1 : 1000 (WB)

Expected | apparent MW

Background

Background Francisella tularensis is a pathogenic species of Gram-negative, aerobe, rod-shaped coccobacillus. It is the causative agent of tularemia, the pneumonic form of which is often lethal without treatment. It spreads easily by aerosol and has high virulence making this a Tier 1 Select Agent by the U.S. government. In nature this strain can survive for several weeks at low temperatures in animal carcasses, soil, and water.
