Background

Background RAD23b (Rad23 UV excision repair protein family) belongs to radiation Sensitive23 (RAD23) family. Other isoforms are coded by: AT1G16190(RAD23A), AT1G79650(RAD23B), AT3G02540(RAD23C), AT5G38470(RAD23D). RAD23 proteins play an essential role in the cell cycle, morphology, and fertility of plants through their delivery of UPS (ubiquitin/26S proteasome system) substrates to the 26S proteasome.
