Background: CPN60B (chaperonin-60 beta subunit protein) localized to the chloroplast stroma where it functions as part of the chloroplast chaperonin complex. It binds ATP and assists in protein folding and assembly, notably helping Rubisco subunits assemble into their oligomeric enzyme form, and is important for proper plastiddivision and chloroplast function. Loss of function can lead to defects in chloroplast division and leaf development. - Protocols
