Background: PR10 is a pathogenesis-related class 10 protein part of a widespread family of small intracellular defense proteins that are typically induced by pathogen attack and environmental stress. PR10 proteins have a conserved Bet v 1-like fold and often show ribonuclease activity and the ability to bind small ligands, linking them to plant immune responses and stress signaling.
