Background
Background
PAC1 (20S Proteasome alpha subunit C1) is a component of proteasome complex which has ability to cleave peptides with Arg, Phe, Tyr, Leu, and Glu adjacent to the leaving group at neutral or slightly basic pH. The process is ATP-dependent.
Alternative names: Proteasome subunit alpha type-4-A, 20S proteasome alpha subunit C-1, Proteasome 27 kDa subunit, Proteasome component 9, Proteasome subunit alpha type-3
